The South African Nationals are eligible for e-Visa to visit India on gratis basis (no VISA fee shall be charged). The applicants are advised to apply for E-Visa at https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html.  

2.      The e-Visa has 5 sub-categories viz. e-Tourist Visa (for 30 days/01 year/ 05 years), e-Business Visa, e-Medical Visa, e-Medical Attendant Visa and e-Conference Visa. A foreigner (other than those applying for e-Conference Visa) will be allowed to club activities permitted under these categories. Foreigners applying for e-Conference visa will be permitted to club the activities permitted under e-Tourist visa only (validity co-terminus with e-Conference Visa only i. e. 30 days). Only two e-Medical Attendant Visas will be granted against one e- Medical Visa.

3.      The Applicants are advised to apply online minimum 5 working days in advance from the date of departure in case of e-Visa.

Note: The e-Visa is issued by the Bureau of Immigration, Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India therefore the consulate officials are not is position to respond to the queries related to e-VISA. The applicants are advised to contact concerned authorities in this regard on the contact details provided on e-Visa portal.
